Master of Arts
The Master of Arts in Cultural Apologetics and Missions program at Founders Seminary, directed by Dr. E.D. Burns, is designed to equip students with a robust biblical theology of mission while training them to defend the faith against false teachings and cultural distortions.
This program integrates systematic theology, historical theology, and apologetics to prepare missionaries for gospel proclamation in both domestic and global contexts. Students will engage deeply with the important ecclesiological issues, the theology of suffering, and the missionary methods of faithful Christians throughout church history. Courses emphasize not only the theological foundations of mission but also the theological foundation needed for confronting errors that threaten the church.
This fully remote program is structured to accommodate missionaries actively serving in the field or those in the process of raising support. Students can remain in their place of ministry while receiving rigorous theological training without the need to relocate.
Students may substitute their electives for our Bible Translation or TESOL tracks. The concentration in Bible Translation will require Greek I, II, and Hebrew I, II which can be done remotely for students in this program. All applicants must apply through an approved missionary agency. For more details on eligibility and application requirements, contact us.
